On FTA-EB Basis Methods of Analyzing Reliability of OPU in Aircraft Generator

In this paper, a reliability analysis method combining E-Bayes (Expected-Bayesian) and FTA (FTA-EB in short) has been put forward to improve the robustness of estimating results of the reliability analysis. Bayesian method is used to analyze the experiment data to get the E-Bayes estimation of entropy loss; the system failure rate which is used as the introducing parameter is obtained through FTA to conduct the FTA-EB reliability analysis. This method is applied to analyze the reliability of C919 airborne equipment—overvoltage protection equipment; the traditional E-Bayes (Synthetic E-Bayes, SEB in short) together with this method is used to estimate the average lifetime of this equipment. Comparison of results reveals that FTA-EB method can greatly improve the robustness and confidence interval of reliability analysis estimation of zero-failure data. Therefore, this method can be applied to analyze the reliability of equipment, system and mainframe in aerospace field.
