Toarriveatrelevantandreliableconclusionsconcerningtheusabilityofahypermediaeducationale-book,developershavetoapplyawell-definedevaluationprocedureaswellasasetofclear,concreteandmeasurablequalitycriteria.Evaluatinganeducationaltoolinvolvesnotonlytestingtheuserinterfacebutalsothedidacticmethod,theinstructionalmaterialsandtheinteractionmechanismstoprovewhetherornottheyhelpusersreachtheirgoalsforlearning.Thisarticlepresentsanumberofevaluationcriteriaforhypermediaeducationale-booksanddescribeshowtheyareembeddedintoanevaluationprocedure.Thisworkischieflyaimedathelpingeducationdevelopersevaluatetheirsystems,aswellastoprovidethemwithguidanceforaddressingeducationalrequirementsduringthedesignprocess.
