Thispaperidentifiesthe"stateoftheart"indigitallibraryeducationinLibraryandInformationScienceprograms,byidentifyingthereadingsthatareassignedindigitallibrarycoursesandthetopicsofthesereadings.Themostfrequently-assignedreadingsareidentifiedatmultipleunitsofanalysis,asarethetopicsonwhichreadingsaremostfrequentlyassigned.Whilenocoresetofreadingsemerged,therewassignificantconsensusontheauthorstobeincludedindigitallibrarycoursereadingassignments,aswellasthetopicstobecovered.Implicationsfortherangeofassignedreadingsandtopicsfordigitallibraryeducationinlibraryscienceeducationarediscussed.
