Thisisthesecondpartofananalysisofthemethodsthathavebeenusedtoachieveorimproveinteroperabilityamongmetadataschemasandtheirapplicationsinordertofacilitatetheconversionandexchangeofmetadataandtoenablecross-domainmetadataharvestingandfederatedsearches.Fromamethodologicalpointofview,implementinginteroperabilitymaybeconsideredatdifferentlevelsofoperation:schemalevel(discussedinPartIofthearticle),recordlevel(discussedinPartIIofthearticle),andrepositorylevel(alsodiscussedinPartII).Theresultsofeffortstoimproveinteroperabilitymaybeobservedfromdifferentperspectivesaswell,includingelement-basedandvalue-basedapproaches.
