Theoriginofquasiperiodicmodulationsoffluxinthekilohertzrange(kHzQPOs),observedinlow-massX-raybinaries,isusuallyassumedtobephysicallydistinctfromthatofthea€?normalbranchoscillationsa€?(NBOs)intheZ-sources.Weshowthatalow-frequencymodulationofthekHzQPOsisanaturalconsequenceofthenon-linearrelativisticresonancesuggestedpreviouslytoexplainthepropertiesofthehigh-frequencytwinpeaks.Thetheoreticalresultsdiscussedherearereminiscentofthe6a€‰HzvariationsoffrequencyandamplitudeofthekHzQPOsreportedbyYu,vanderKlis,andJonker(2001,ApJ,559,L29).
