Far-infraredspectroscopyoverawidetemperaturerangewasusedtoinvestigatevibrationpropertiesofPbTe0.95S0.05singlecrystal.Theanalysisofthefarinfraredspectrawasmadebyfittingprocedurebasedonthemodelofcoupledoscillators.Namely,weuseddielectricfunctionthatinadvancetakesintoaccounttheexistenceofplasmon-twophononinteraction.AsaresultofthebestfitweobtainedthreefrequenciesofcoupledmodesandthanwecalculatedvaluesfortwoLOmodesandplasmafrequencies(omega;P).Weobtainedaverygoodagreementbetweentheresultobtainedasabestfitfromexperimentalspectraandtheoreticalprediction.WehavefoundthatphononsinPbTe0.95S0.05showthetwonbsp;-nbsp;modebehavior.
