This presentation is to discuss the application of an experiential learning and teaching model thatcan be applied in a variety of different educational settings (Spring, 2015a). The model has beenapplied in educational institutions from primary schools, further educational colleges (16‐18 yearsold) as well as higher educational programmes in universities. It has been used in the UnitedKingdom, Germany and Finland. The martial arts experiential model has evolved from the workundertaken by the author in several different educational settings, primarily the development andsuccessful delivery of a BA (Hons) programme in Martial Arts Theory and Practice.
