Abstract:Objective To observe the application effect of nasointestinal tube in ICU patients with enteral nutrition. Methods A total of 104 cases of critical patients were randomly divided into control group and the study group, with 52 cases in each group. The control group was treated with nasogastric tube nutrition support, and the test group was given nasointestinal tube nutrition support. The clinical application effect were compared between the two groups, including implementation of enteral nutrition, occurrence of complications, feeding time, ventilator use time and averaged length of stay. Results The incidence of reflux was significant lower in the study group than that of controls (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in occurrence of diarrhea and blockage of the tube between two groups (P>0.05). The study group had a shorter time in reaching feeding target, ventilator time and length of stay compared whit the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Nasointestinal tube for ICU patients with enteral nutrition therapy provides good infusion channel, effectively reduce the risk of complications and shorten ventilator use time and hospitalization time.
