Abstract:Objective To explore the correlation between personality characteristics and post-traumatic growth (PTG) in patients with critical burn. Methods EPQ and PTG scales were used to investigate materials of 68 patients with critical burn. Results The P value in the EPQ in patients with critical burn was significantly lower than the ordinary people, while the E value, the N value and the L value were significantly higher (P0.05). The N-factor in EPQ was positively correlated with PTG, while the Efactor and the Pfactor were negatively correlated with PTG (P0.05). Conclusion Application of personalized psychological counseling according to the patient′s personality can promote post-traumatic growth and enhance quality of life.
