Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of nursephysician collaborative management mode on treatment compliance and efficacy in patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy (CSR). Methods A total of 126 CSR patients were included in this study, in which 62 cases recruited between Jan 2014 and Dec 2014 were set as the control group and another 64 cases recruited between Jan 2015 and Dec 2015 were set as the study group. The control group was given conventional nursephysician care and the study group was applied with nursephysician collaborative management mode. The treatment compliance, clinical efficacy and recurrence rate three months after intervention, as wells as changes in visual analogue scale (VAS), were compared between two groups. Results The overall effective rate, treatment compliance rate and recurrence rate was 92.19%(59/64), 87.50%(56/64) and 6.25%(4/64) in the study group, and were 74.19%(46/62), 19.35%(12/62) and 24.19%(15/62) in the control group respectively, with significant differences (P<0.01). The VAS score were dropped after intervention(P<0.01) and was significant lower in the study group than that of the controls (P<0.01). Conclusion Nursephysician collaborative management is an effective way of improving treatment compliance and efficacy and reducing recurrence rate in CSR patients.
