Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of postpartum nursing intervention on promoting milk secretion. Methods A total of 244 puerperae were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 122 cases in each group. Both two groups were given routine postpartum nursing, and the nursing interventions targeting on health education, psychological care, breast massage were given to the observation group. The milk secretion time, neonatal feeding and breast pain situation were compared between two groups. Results The rate of milk secretion at first day after delivery and the breastfeeding rate were higher in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05). the incidence o lactation disorder and breast distending pain were lower in the observation group than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The postpartum nursing intervention can promote the secretion of milk , and provide favorable conditions for the healthy growth of newborns.
