Effects of kale and mustard crops on response of white clover to VA mycorrhizal inoculation in pot trials

Abstract White clover seed was coated with 3 VA mycorrhizal soil inocula and a control (non-mycorrhizal) inoculum and sown onto 2 soils in pot trials which had been pre-cropped with kale or mustard or left fallow. Pre-cropping decreased clover yield in both soils and increased the clover growth response to mycorrhizal inoculation in one soil.
