Iron oxalate hydrate (FeC2O42H2O) microrods and microtubes are successfully synthesized underroom temperature by a co-precipitation method. We also explore the formation mechanism of themicrostructure. Interestingly, after electrochemical measurements of iron oxalate hydratemicromaterials, it indicates that FeC2O42H2O microrods exhibit higher capacities close to 346 mA h/g-1 -1 after 100 cycles at 0.5 C (C=1 Li h mol ) rate between 0 and 2 V.
