摘要

Here, we report that thin films of ZnO, ZnO-Cu2O and ZnO-CeO2 nanocomposite oxides, can besuccessfully synthetized by electrochemical deposition route. This path represents a simple, quick andeconomical method for a controllable growth. Aqueous zinc nitrate for ZnO, copper or cerium nitratessolutions for ZnO-Cu2O and ZnO-CeO2 were used. Structural and morphological properties of bothelectrodeposited ZnO, ZnO-Cu2O and ZnO-CeO2 were carried out using X-ray diffraction andscanning electron microscopy (SEM). The morphology and size of the thin films can be tailored byoptimizing the synthetic parameters. The thin films obtained were tested as electrodes and theirelectrocatalytic properties were compared.
