El artículo revisa categorías como Propaganda, Publicidad, funciones, retórica y tipologías del género del cartel político definidas por algunos autores que han permitido desde sus definiciones comprender cuando se está hablando de un cartel político y cuando no. De allí su importancia de volver a poner en valor sus propuestas en tiempos que ha vuelto a tener cierta vigencia el cartel como instrumento de difusión de ideas políticas, discursos de género y preocupaciones ecológicas por nombrar los temas más candentes de hoy. Así el cartel vuelve a retomar cierto prestigio como propagador de ideales en la sociedad urbana, donde precisamente tuvo su origen. Y reflejo de las tensiones sociales que lo reivindican como un género que no pierde vigencia, aunque las redes sociales sean las grandes protagonistas de estos tiempos actuales. **** : The article reviews categories such as Propaganda, Advertising, functions, rhetoric and typologies in the genre of the political cartel according to some authors who have allowed, from their definitions, to understand when we are talking about political cartel and when we are not. It is therefore important to re-evaluate their proposals at a time when the poster has once again become valid as an instrument for disseminating political ideas, gender speeches, and ecological concerns, to name but a few of the hottest issues of today. Thus, the poster has regained a certain prestige as a propagator of ideas in urban society, precisely where it originated, and as a reflection of the social tensions that claim it as a genre that does not lose validity, even though social networks are the great protagonists in these present times.
