Ao explorar um ambiente, todo indivíduo experiencia um processo natural de orienta??o espacial conhecido como wayfinding . Nele, est?o considerados fatores internos – aqueles que trazemos da nossa própria condi??o humana – e externos – aqueles estímulos dados pelo ambiente. Sabendo que somente este último é possível de ser projetado e manipulado, analisamos neste artigo suas duas dimens?es – arquitetura e design – enquanto influenciadores e colaboradores do processo de navega??o e orienta??o do indivíduo. Colocando estes achados em uma perspectiva prática, ao final propomos um instrumento para verificar aspectos de wayfinding em ambientes. *** While exploring an environment, every individual experience a natural space oriented process known as wayfinding. Through this process are considered internal factors – those in which we rely on our human condition, and external factors – the stimuli provided by the environment itself. Due to the understanding that only the external factors can be designed and manipulated, we analyze in this paper both of its dimensions – Architecture and Design – while influencing and collaborating aspects of the individual navigating and orientation process. These findings are put together by practical perspective through a proposition of an evaluation instrument towards wayfinding in environments.
