ThescopeofthisarticleistoaddressthepossibilitiesandchallengeslibrariansconcernedwithsocialjusticemayfacewhenworkingwiththeACRLFramework.WhiletheFrameworkrecognizesthatinformationemergesfromvariedcontextsthatreflectunevendistributionsofpower,privilege,andauthority,itismissingacogentstatementthatconnectsinformationliteracytosocialjustice.Inthisarticle,authorsconcernedwithsocialjusticeandcivicengagementwillsharetheirreflectionsontheFrameworkfromacriticalpedagogicalandsocialjusticeorientation.
