ThepurposeofthepaperistoinvestigatethelevelofICTrelatedILskillsoflibrariansinCOElibrariesandtoknowsomechallengeslibrariansfaceinacquiringILskills.Descriptivesurveymethodwasadoptedusingquestionnaire.Thestudycoveredprofessionalsandpara-professionallibrariansinfederal,stateandprivateCollegesofEducationlibrariesintheSouth-SouthandSouth-Eastgeo-politicalzonesofNigeria.Thefindingsrevealedthatthelibrariansratedtheirinformationliteracyskillstobeaverage.Acorrelationoftheoverallassessmentofthelibrarians’ILskillswithvariablessuchasinstitution,gender,yearsofexperienceandqualificationsrevealeddifferencesamongthelibrarians.ThestudyalsorevealedthatthelibrariansacquiredtheirILskillsthroughdifferentchannelssuchasfriendsandcolleagues,self-practice,workshops,conferencesandseminars,andthroughonthejobtraining.OnlyafewindicatedthattheyacquiredtheirILskillsthroughlibraryschools.Lackoftraining,irregularpowersupply,poorInternetconnectivity,inadequatefacilities(computers),andlackoftimewereidentifiedassomeofthechallengestoacquireILskills.
