MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY CONSUMPTION RISES 16 % IN NOVEMBER

U.S. manufacturing technology consumption totaled $178.83 million, according to the American Machine Tool Distributors' Association (AMTDA; amtda. org) and the Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT; amtonline.org).rnThis total was up 16 percent from October but down 16.2 percent from the total of $213.50 million reported a year ago. Total consumption through November 2009 is down 63.4 percent compared with 2008.
