Independent software vendors like Autodesk, SolidWorks, ANSYS, Siemens PLM, Altair and others are making simulation-based design more accessible by providing step-by-step help for the novice. Now these users can create, test and modify design ideas in a virtual lab and reduce the number of expensive prototypes.
