He uses personal banking as an analogy to explain product durability. "It's just like a bank account," he says. "With each incident of damage, you take out a certain amount. If you have big-ticket items that incur a lot of expenditure, the account runs out quickly. Small damages accumulated over time also drain the account. Soon, you go broke."
