Mobile satellite communications services provider, Inmarsat and SkyWave Mobile Communications, a provider of communication services for machine-to-machine (M2M) applications, have launched IsatData Pro, a low data rate service for managing remote assets around the world. The service is claimed to offer a significant increase in payload capacity compared with other satellite-based M2M services in the market, delivering up to 10,000 bytes to the device and up to 6,400 bytes from the device.
