Boy Scouts of America Camp Karankawa

In 2004, the South Texas Council of the Boy Scouts of America embarked on a mission to replace the aging facilities at their regional camp facility, Camp Karankawa. Located on Lake Corpus Christi near Mathis, Texas, Camp Karankawa has served generations of youth since 1944. Most of the camp's facilities were constructed in the 1950s and the early 1960s, and almost all major buildings were in dire need of replacement.
