Motors are getting smaller. This statement isn't exactly a ground-breaking one, because this way of thinking has been gaining in popularity over the last few years. But for all the reductions in motor size, there has been no commensurate reduction in the hardware to complement it. This is mainly due to the power and torque demands placed on items such as couplings and clutches.
