The ingenious, low cost, multi-purpose Cup Carrier, covered by Eureka in its Design Break in July 2000, has just won Clare Newton the title, 'Female Inventor of the Year' at the recent British Female Inventor of the Year Awards at London's Cafe Royal. The concept, which is stamped out of a piece of card, can be folded in three different ways to act as either a hot drink beaker carrier, a holder with a handle, or a stand to stabilise the drink on a pitching surface (see photo). It is also ideal for displaying printed promotions.
