Simple code for the estimation of scaling potential

摘要

A simple code is presented for estimating scaling potential of the major solute species composing the salinity feed water of a reverse osmosis unit. The code was tested against data presented in the tender documents of the participants for the 14 units of a total capacity of 4000 m~3/d for the Ministry of Construction. The code prediction was in very close agreement with the data.
