Introduction to Special Issue on Teaching Analytics

摘要

This special issue of DSJIE on Teaching Analytics contains one teaching brief,two conceptual articles, and three empirical research articles. In “Teaching HadoopUsing Role Play Games,” Zhiguo Yang presents strategies for teaching and learningof Hadoop technology in a role-playing situation. This paper not only shows howHadoop can be used in the classroom in contexts of role-playing, but it also explainsthe different dimensions of Hadoop, such as MapReduce, and Hadoop DistributedFile System (HDFS).
