Cloud computing is the next wave of transformation sweeping the Indian IT industry. The research agencies and other studies have rated cloud computing' as the leader in Top 10 Strategic Technology Areas in 2010-11'. IDC predicts that cloud computing market in India is expected to grow at a CAGR of 40% by 2014. Cloud services can be defined as 3-layered structures, with network layer at the bottom, the server, database/ storage layer in the middle of the technology stack and applications at the top-closest to business needs.
