Cloud Computing to Create 2 mn Jobs by 2015

Pointing to a strong linkage between cloud and its job creation ability, a recent Microsoft commissioned study has predicted that cloud computing will create almost 2 mn jobs in India, by the year 2015. The research conducted by IDC hopes that cloud will generate nearly 14 mn new jobs worldwide in the same time. More than 50% of these jobs will be generated in the small and medium businesses. Furthering its findings, it says that more than 2 mn jobs each will be generated in the 'communications and media' and manufacturing sectors, followed by banking at over 1.4 mn.
