E-gov Transactions in India Cross 1 bn Mark

It seems that e-governance drive by the Indian Government has started showing results. e-Governance transactions in India across government offices and departments have gone past the one-bn mark, as per media reports.. Interestingly, Gujarat has topped the list with almost 389 mn transactions, followed by Maharashtra with over 189 mn transactions. Delhi has recorded over 71 mn transactions. Most number of transactions were done for services such as utility and government services which recorded 258 mn transactions.
