Network Test Pilots Get a New Vehicle

Those of us who spend our days and nights testing networking gear for fun and/or profit like to think of ourselves as the Chuck Yeagers of the technology world. After all, we're the ones pushing out the envelope to find the breaking point of every box and package that comes our way. Unfortunately, creating an ideal test bed that reflects real-world conditions isn't always an easy proposition. One big problem is with the quality of available tools. A solid test bed must accomplish two main tasks: It must stress the device under test adequately, and to a reasonable degree it must be reproducible.
