CORBA: A Common Touch for Distributed Applications

摘要

Distributed object computing—DOC— has eased the pain for net managers tackling the task of integrating applications. Setting up a single management workstation that can gather network fault and configuration data is much less of a chore when network services and applications can be viewed as objects that share common interfaces—rather than treated as separate entities that have to be linked directly in fixed, hard-coded relationships.
