Conglomerate crystallization behavior of racemic[Co(N_4)(aminoacidato)]~2+ complexes

Crystal structures, absolute configurations, and crystalline packing features of nine com- plexes, namely, cis-α-A-(RR)(δλδ)-[Co(trien)(D-histidinato)](ClO_4)_2.2H_2O 1, cis-β_1-Δ- (RR)(λδδ)-[Co(trien)(L-asparaginato)](ClO_4)_2 2, cis-β_2Λ(SS)(λλδ)-[Co(trien)(L- valinato)(ClO_4)_2.H_2O 3, cis-β_2Δ(RR)(δδλ)[Co(trien)(D-methioninato)](ClO_4)_2 and its enanti- omer 4. Trans(N, t-N)-[Co(tren)(DL-leucinato)X_2,(X=ClO~-_4 5, BF_4-6, PF_6-7), and trans(N, t- N)-[Co(tren)(DL-methioninato)X_2(X-Br~- 8, Cl~-(BF_4-9)(trien=trienthylenetetramine, Tren=tris(2-aminoethyl)amine), have been determined.
