摘要

Production of an integrated project schedule in which all parties (multi-nationals) involved work and contribute effectively to the schedule is a challenge and a priority in major, large-scale, construction projects. This article describes the planning and scheduling processes and tools (software) that were applied prior to and during project execution, in successfully completing ahead of schedule, the first 2-unit CANDU 6 nuclear power plant in mainland China. The scope of the work involved included designing, procuring, constructing, and commissioning two 728 Mwe plants located on the shores of Hangzhou bay, 120 miles east of Shanghai in China.
