Bettie Gebara CCC, US COST, and R. Bruce Dixon CCC, Faithful+Gould, answered the recent call by Atlanta Section member Dr. Khalid M. Siddiqi, Ph.D., Construction Department Chair School of Architecture, Civil Engineering Technology and Construction, Southern Polytechnic State University (SPSU). Gebara and Dixon will be instructors during the summer session at SPSU. In addition to their normal day jobs, each will instruct two classes a week for the 10-week summer session. On April 19, they both served on the SPSU Capstone Review Panel. SPSU created the Capstone Project to provide students the opportunity of participating in a more business-like atmosphere. The Capstone experience offers budding construction professional something most other classroom experiences do not: a sneak peak at what their future jobs will be like.
