More than 20 Atlanta Area Section members and friends toured the Consolidated Rent-A-Car (CONRAC) construction project at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on May 19, 2009, to close out the 2008-2009 section year. We toured the Customer Service Center, observed testing of the automated people mover (APM) trains, and kept from getting wet in a car wash at one of the quick turnaround (QTA) areas. After the tour, we enjoyed seeing old friends and made some new ones at Joe's on Sullivan. The section is hoping to make on-site tours at least an annual event in the future as they are usually very well attended.
