AACE International Increases Requirements, Refines Background Necessary for CFCC Certification

The AACE International Certification Board has approved significant changes in the administration and requirements for the Certified Forensic Claim Consultant (CFCC) certification. The changes are designed to clarify the scope of this highly specialized certification and to better prepare candidates for the difficulty in earning the CFCC certification. According to Val Venters, CCP, Chairperson of the Certification Board, the recent changes provide a more realistic overview of the difficulty of the CFCC requirements to potential candidates before they begin the certification process. Among the changes approved by the Certification Board, the most noticeable may be the expansion of relevant claims experience from eight to 12 years, Venters noted. All changes became effective on June 1, 2014.
