Miller widow wins King of the Road copyright

The widow of Country singer Roger Miller has won the legal rights to his biggest hit - King of the Road.rnA federal judge ruled that Mary Miller and Roger Miller Music owned the copyright to songs the artist released in 1964, and not Sony/ ATV Publishing.rnMiller sued Sony in 2004 claiming the right of copyright renewal for songs her husband published between 1958 and 1964. Copyrights to those songs had expired by then owing to Roger Miller's death, and needed to be renewed.
