Woodhead Industries, a division of Molex Inc., adds the BradCommunications NetDoctor to its line of diagnostic tools. The BradCommunications NetDoctor is a passive device that continuously monitors a DeviceNet network and stores information as OPC status tags on a human machine interface (HMI) display residing on Ethernet.The device is said to provide extremely accurate measurements of the network parameters using high-speed sampling. Storing a baseline measurement of a "good" network helps predict imminent failures on individual devices.
