ThinGap Model 2300 Series laminated copper dc brush-less ironless motors includes eight models, 250 to 600 oz-in. (3.125 lb/ft) of peak torque, and 2,710 to 16,305 rpm, with smooth velocity and virtually no eddy current or hysteresis losses. The company designed these motors without magnet wire windings, with no measurable cogging, and a high peak torque-to-continuous torque ratio. Precision etched copper sheets are laminated into a freestanding, lightweight, composite coil about 3 mm thick, without iron backing.
