Profinet coupler features an integrated two-port Ethernet switch and bus wiring topology

Advantech has launched the APAX-5071 Profinet Coupler as part of its series of I/O modules for use in remote and distributed applications. The unit features an integrated two-port Ethernet switch, allowing for a daisy-chain wiring between multiple distributed couplers. In addition, this flexible series supports a high-speed communication backplane to be extended over Ethernet.
