Forty percent of respondents to the Control Engineering 2016 Salary and Career Study were under 50 years old at the time the survey was conducted. Below are five survey findings regarding this engineering audience segment: 1. Compensation: The average end user under 50 years old earned a base annual salary of $89,000 in 2015 and a non-salary compensation (i.e. bonus) amount of more than $9,000. Seventy-percent expect their salary to increase this year, and another 22% expect their bonus to increase, too.
