A.O. Smith recalls gas water heaters

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with A.O. Smith Water Products Co., has announced a voluntary recall of the company's 75-gal. natural and propane gas water heaters. The water heaters' flue gas temperatures can exceed safe limits and produce excessive temperatures in the venting unit, posing a fire hazard. Also, the water heaters' exhaust can leak into surrounding rooms, posing a carbon monoxide hazard.
