Belt-tightening construction bosses are putting holidays on hold amid sector-wide redundancy fears, a new survey shows. One in three construction bosses will not use their full holiday entitlement this year because they are worried they could be axed, according to a study by the Chartered Management Institute. More than 50% of construction executives stay at work developing skills to make them "recession proof, many more don't take leave because they don't want to let clients down, and 29% have deadlines to meet.
