Fire protection is a major priority for engineers, specifiers, and building owners. At the 2009 NFPA Conference, held June 8 to 11 in Chicago's McCormick Place, several new products in the fire protection field were unveiled and displayed. Here are a few of those products:rnUsable both indoors and outside, the SpectrAlert mass notification system (MNS) by System Sensor meets the always-evolving MNS codes and requirements. Equipped with amber lens and speaker strobes, as well as ALERT-printed devices, the SpectrAlert informs occupants both visually and auditory of an emergency. The MNS also includes field-adjustable settings, universal mounting plates, and plug-in designs.
