The digitalization of the built environment is, if not already upon us, arriving in the next design and construction cycle. Looking at other industries for examples, in the last 50 years the music industry saw the generation, distribution and consumption of music evolve from magnetic tape recording and vinyl records to digital audio workstations and streaming platforms.
