Elections Have Consequences, Especially This One

It is a sad fact of political life today that neither party seems to have a monopoly on the partisan pettiness that has made it so difficult for Washington to tackle our growing debt, address our stagnant economy or make needed reforms to the way we fund infrastructure investments. All this partisan rancor makes it is easy to wonder whether it truly matters which party controls either body of Congress or the White House. "They are all awful, so why should I care," is something many of us have probably asked ourselves at one point or another.
