OSHA Crane Operator Certification and Qualification Approaches

AS THE NOV. 10, 2017, deadline for crane operator training requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA's) crane safety rule approaches, contractors who employ crane operators are filling training classes. Originally intended to take effect in 2014 when the rule was first published in 2010, OSHA delayed requirements for crane operator certification for three more years to allow time to clarify language in the rule.
