The roof system is integral to any structure, especially in high-wind or coastal areas. New, more wind-resistant roof assembly details rated for windstorm classification by FM Approvals (Factory Mutual) are examined. The assemblies also meet insurance requirements using APA-The Engineered Wood Association wood structural panels made from plywood and oriented strand board (OSB) as the substrate.
