Steel speeds laboratory project

摘要

Back in 2009,the government decided that one way of supporting the UK's manufacturing industry was to create technology and innovation facilities where companies could prototype, de-risk and optimise their products. Highlighted in particular was the importance of advanced composites - durable, lightweight and high-performance material used in aircraft, wind turbines and car manufacturing. A composite material is made from at least two different materials, resulting in a new material with different properties to its constituents. One example of an advanced composite is carbon fibre reinforced plastic.
